Show Notes

Noor Tehini grew up in Abu Dhabi and went on to study Politics and International Relations in the UK, subsequently acquiring a Master's in Publishing Studies. After a stint in academic publishing, she moved to Dubai to assume the position of Managing Editor (and later Head of Content) at Savoir Flair, the Middle East's first online fashion magazine, where she oversaw a vast editorial team and was responsible for the market-leading publication's social media strategy. Noor also represented Savoir Flair internationally during Fashion Month.

In addition to exploring the importance of therapy and mental health, we delve into the fashion industry’s dark side, her experience in the sudden shifts within the fashion culture, the hidden messages in fashion magazines and the toll it takes on the individuals involved. We also discuss social media and its effect on mental and physical health and the path of self exploration and finding your purpose.

After a seven-year stint in the fashion industry, Noor Tehini co-founded Goodness, the region's first platform dedicated to tackling topics relating to women's wellness in a real, honest, and holistic way. To date, Goodness has shed light on topics that had previously only been whispered about amongst women in the Middle East, including postpartum depression, vaginal dryness, and marital issues.
