Kokila Alagh is a Corporate/Commercial and technology lawyer with over 17 years of experience in the middle east. She has worked with major corporations, government and semi government bodies, high net worth individuals and start-ups over the years. In addition to this, she has Masters in Law, in Digital Economy from the Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, certification of Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme from Oxford University and Fintech Programme from Harvard Business School has helped her develop an expertise in the area of newer technologies. She is the founder and CEO of a legal consultancy firm KARM. KARM provides legal advice on Fintech Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, Data Protection, AI Robo-advisory and open banking. Under the mentorship of Kokila, the firm has advise multiple crypto-exchanges, token offerings (STO/UTO), consortium/enterprise blockchains, crowdfunding platforms and payment gateways for legally setting up and operating in the region and beyond. She also has significant experience in investments, incorporations, joint ventures, project finance and private equity transactions. Kokila is also the head of policy and governance vertical for the MENA Fintech Association.
